The Cotton Ball Game- (two large pots or buckets, a serving spoon and a blindfold)

Set the two pots or buckets at least five feet apart and place all of the cotton balls in one pot. The objective of this game is to transfer as many cotton balls as a player can from one pot to the other using the spoon while blindfolded. Each guest will take turns playing this game for one minute. The guest who transferred the most cotton balls wins the game.

Guess the Mother's Waist- (a ball of yarn and a pair of scissors)

The objective of this game is for the guests to estimate the tummy size of the mother-to-be. Once the materials have been passed around, everyone in the party cuts out a certain length of yarn that they think will perfectly fit around the mother's waist. No one can put the yarn around themselves or each other to make a guess. After everyone is finished, the mom-to-be puts each string around her belly and the guest with the closest length wins.

Pass the Parcel Game- (a small gift, wrapping paper and a tape)

This is a remix of the popular Trip to Jerusalem game. First, wrap a small gift with paper in layers parallel to the number of guests. Secure each layer with tape. As the music starts playing, the guests will sit in a circle and pass the parcel around. When the music stops, the person holding the gift removes a layer of wrapping paper and when the music starts again, the guests continue to pass around the parcel. The next person removes another layer once the music stops again. The guest who removes the last layer of wrapping paper wins the game and gets to keep the gift.

Then there are also some ice breakers that will allow guests to mingle with each other and create a lighter mood in the party.

Don't Say Baby- (diaper pins)

Give every guest diaper pins and request them to pin it on their shirt. During the game, everyone is prohibited to say the word "baby." When someone unintentionally mentions the forbidden word, the first guest who catches the person saying it gets to have their diaper pin. The winner will be determined by having the most pins.

Guess the Baby Game- (baby photos of the guests)

Before the party, have guests send photos of themselves when they were still a baby. Let each guest try to match the baby picture with the correct adult. The person with the most number of matches wins.

These are just few of the low-cost but fun baby shower games you can play. Just remember that the goal is to make the celebration happier and memorable for the parents-to-be. Also, handing out prizes to the winners is a plus.
